Embracing The ‘Whole’ Child All Summer Long
Jun 28, 2017
Summer camp can provide some of the most memorable experiences in a child’s life. Nothing can quite compare to a summer spent making friends, having adventures, and learning new skills under the fun of the summer sun. That’s why we at World Academy believe that the best summer camp experiences feature engaging, exciting, and memorable activities to keep your little learner active and growing each and every day.
Open to all summer seekers (including those who are not World Academy students), our World Academy Summer Quest camp offers all the hands-on fun, outdoor activities and lifelong memories that many parents still remember from their own camp experiences. Our goal: to excite your child’s natural wonder of the world by providing a catalyst for creativity and imagination, while providing the freedom to explore and discover alongside their fellow campers.
Nurturing the Whole Child is a Year Round Commitment
At World Academy, our focus is on developing every aspect of your child’s socio-emotional, cognitive-intellectual, developmental, physical, cultural and creative well-being. By focusing on the “whole child,” we make sure your camper’s fun and learning continue well into the summer, without feeling like school. We believe that camp can, and should, be an engaging and enjoyable experience, so we have designed our two-week Summer Quest sessions to offer hands-on, outdoor activities to spark campers wonder and excitement for exploration, facilitated by our fun and knowledgeable camp counselors, to build lasting memories that will stay with them for years to come.
Happy Kids Are Kids At Play
Each day of your child’s camp experience at Summer Quest will be filled with numerous chances to participate in creative, age-appropriate indoor and outdoor games related to the theme of each two-week session.
Below is the full list of themes and accompanying dates for Summer Quest 2017:
-Down By The Sea (7/17 – 7/28)
-Heroes (7/31 – 8/11)
-Silly Science (8/14 – 8/25)
Beyond these engaging, our campers find fun in the sun participating in ‘minute to win it’ activities, carom games, treasure hunts, and by learning the names and shapes of constellations. Outdoor field games, horseshoes, geocaching, and indoor fun like floor hockey and wall climbing will earn your child medals of achievement, all while learning about the importance of collaboration and physical fitness. Plus, campers will get the chance to work as a group to win a special Summer Quest prize!
How about teams, not screens? That’s the Summer Quest recipe for success!
