Music In Our Schools Month

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) tributes 2018 as the 33rd annual anniversary of "Music In Our Schools" month, which is celebrated nationally every March. This year's theme is "Music Connects Us". Every day, in Music Classrooms and Rehearsal Rooms across America, Music Educators bring this theme to life. Here at World Academy and across the globe, Music has a profound effect on the students, families, and on entire communities. This schools' Administrators and Families support the difference that Music makes for each student, helping them develop, grow and connect. The instructional unit being showcased on March 28 is the design and development of Music Games. The students collaborate in small groups to creatively Incorporate a variety of Music Fundamentals into their game using only classroom resources and class time. When the games are completed, each group presents their work to their classmates followed by a "Game Exchange". This is when everyone has the opportunity to play! The students and I invite you to view our exhibit following the Character Ed. Assembly, the final Wednesday of this month on March 28th.
