Caryssa Propfe

Toddler Teacher

Caryssa has worked at World Academy since August, 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern New Hampshire University and holds a Birth to Third Grade NH Teacher Certification. She also minored in Art History. Caryssa grew up in Hebron, Connecticut, and moved to Manchester, NH this summer after living at school for four years. In her spare time, Caryssa enjoys journaling, scrapbooking, and playing with her puppy! She also enjoys the arts and spends much of her time learning as much as she can about them.

Caryssa believes, “As a teacher, my role is to advocate for every single child. This means providing opportunities to develop physically, socially, and emotionally. The classroom should be a nurturing and safe environment for the child to learn and grow in a way that is developmentally appropriate and fun! I also believe that an important part of teaching is meeting the child where he/she is. This means individualizing instruction so that each child’s unique needs are met. I believe that children are capable of accomplishing so much, and when they are properly supported and encouraged, they shine. Children are natural learners and have a curiosity that I believe it is my job to nurture. By fostering independence and providing the opportunity for children to explore, play, and learn, I hope that my students will move on to live with a love of learning and a lasting curiosity.”
