Sarah Perfit

Upper Elementary Teacher - Grade 4

Sarah Perfit is so excited to begin her journey at World Academy this year! She has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Rhode Island College, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Rivier University, and has been working with children in education for the past 14 years, and has spent the past five years teaching 4th and 5th grade!

Sarah grew up in the Greater Boston area and taught there for five years before recently moving to Southern New Hampshire. Outside of school, she enjoys ice skating, swimming, and playing with her three cats. 

Sarah believes that all children thrive when they feel safe and seen in the classroom. Each year, she turns her class roster into a community of learners by modeling kindness, respect, and conflict resolution. At the start of each school year, Ms. Perfit enjoys getting to know her students as individuals before diving into content. In her classroom, she expects students to try their best each day and encourages them to learn from their mistakes. Sarah is so thrilled to partner with students and families to build a solid foundation for middle school! We are lucky she is joining us!
