Current Opportunities

Middle School Teacher

World Academy is currently seeking an innovative educator, with experience teaching grades 3-6, to join our team. Applicants must be able to instruct students ensuring each individual is provided with the knowledge, proficiencies, and experiences to become a successful, contributing global citizen. Experience in standards-based instruction and assessments is desired.

The ideal candidate will be expected to teach a range of subjects with a focus on Mathematics and Science and possible electives. The candidate will be responsible for providing instruction that enhances critical thinking skills, contributing to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences, and providing a safe and optimal learning environment.

Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree and must possess a valid NH or MA teacher certification or from a state with recognized reciprocity for either. This certificate must be either Elementary Education K-8 or Mathematics (5-8 or 5-12) and/or Computer Science (5-8). New Hampshire Highly Qualified Teacher status or its equivalent from another state, preferred.

Candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with teachers, students, and parents, provide project-based learning techniques, demonstrate knowledge in 21st century learning, education techniques and methods, possess a keen ability to adapt teaching methods to students' individual learning styles, create learning activities that correlate with instructional objectives, effectively integrate appropriate technology, implement a behavior management program for students in order to assist students in learning and demonstrating responsible behavior, utilize homework as a tool for the reinforcement of classroom instruction, supervise or assists in field trips, recreational, and other extracurricular programs, for the benefit of the school, and perform related duties as assigned.

Professional obligations of teachers are met through continuous pursuit of new understanding of teaching and learning, reflection on their own practices and beliefs and through efficient work habits for planning lessons, meeting deadlines and honoring schedules. Toddler Teacher

World Academy's progressive Early Education Team is looking for a fun, energetic, reliable, and knowledgeable candidate to fill the Toddler Teacher (2-year-olds) position, Monday through Friday, full time.

Job Description:

This position will assist in managing classroom atmosphere, support developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum, and maintain communication with fellow staff members and families.

The right candidate for this position is looking to strengthen their early childhood teaching skills. World Academy teachers are skilled in curriculum development, child assessment, and deeply understand child development. Candidates will be presented with multiple opportunities for professional growth.

Candidate requirements:

  • Lead Teacher requirements preferred: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field of study (18 Credits in ECE, including 3 credits in Child Growth and Development)
  • Associate Teacher requirements a must: A minimum of 9 Credits in ECE, including 3 credits in Child Growth and Development.
  • Knowledge of NH Early Learning Standards and developmentally appropriate practices is a plus!
  • Pay is based on educational experience and background.

Job Description:

The Afternoon Teacher will assist in managing classroom atmosphere, support developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum and maintain communication with fellow staff members and families. Candidates will be presented with multiple opportunities for professional growth and will be considered for future lead teaching positions as they become available. A minimum of 9 Credits in ECE, including Child Growth and Development, are required. Knowledge of NAEYC standards and criteria is a plus! Pay is based on educational experience and background.

Substitute

Begin your Career with World Academy!! Be a full-time substitute in our accredited program for Infants through Grade 8 and learn what ages you truly enjoy and would like to work within the classroom. Most of our staff have been substitutes first to work their way into our wonderful school as full-time teachers. The variation each day keeps life interesting as you learn the ropes and find out about our great climate and culture. Must be available from 6:30am to 6:00pm to work an 8 hour day every day.

Ideal candidate will hold 9 credits in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education, including 3 credits in Child Growth and Development OR be in the process of obtaining credits, in which World Academy will be willing to help you achieve. Knowledge of NAEYC/NEASC criteria is a plus.
