Ashley Lupien has been teaching at World Academy since 2018. She is a graduate of Rivier University with a degree in Education and Community Leadership. She is currently finishing up her Master’s Degree at Rivier University in Business.
Ashley grew up in Dracut, MA and has been living in the same house for 23 years. She enjoys reading books, time at the beach and golfing with her family. She loves fall and relaxing outside to watch the leaves change colors.
Ashley believes that teaching is more than teaching- it is learning! As an Early Childhood Teacher, it is important to her to learn the uniqueness of each child in her classroom. Some learn easily, some with a little more difficulty, some complete tasks quickly and others a little slower. By learning from each student, it allows her to have a versatile room where each child is challenged at his/her level and, in the end, everyone has accomplished the same task. Her classroom goal is easy: to meet each child where he/she is and watch each child succeed to his/her fullest potential, as so many teachers have done for her; and secondly, to be sure that all her students are treated as equals and fairly. "I want all my students, girls and boys, to know they can be anything they want to just as I did growing up.” Quite often you will find Ashley in a sandbox, sliding down a slide, or sitting on the floor participating in the children’s activities. She believes that “the more I am engaged with the students, the more the children will be engaged in the classroom”. Ashley has often been told that she has a bright and sunny personality and this is exactly how she wants her students to feel about coming to school every day. She wants each child to know he/she is the guest of honor in her classroom and she is here to serve each child’s needs. “What my classroom will be serving is a bowl of creativity, a dish of collaboration, and a big sweet desert of welcoming, nurturing, caring, loving fun."
