Barbara Carey has been a paraprofessional at World Academy for 23 years. She has assisted in many different grades and classrooms throughout this time. She holds a New Hampshire State Paraprofessional Certification and prior to joining World Academy, she worked for ten years in the Nashua Public School System at Ledge Street School.
Mrs. Carey lives in Nashua with her husband, Larry. Together they have two grown, married children and three wonderful grandchildren, her pride and joy. She loves to shop, eat out and go to the movies. Her kitchen would get a lot more action if it were a closet according to her! (Gotta love her sense of humor!!)
Barbara loves working in the classroom, assisting teachers and children with various lesson plans. Her favorite part of her job is helping students reach their goals. She loves seeing their eyes and faces light up with such pride. She has been known to shed ‘joyful tears’ to celebrate. She says, “That’s what it’s all about!! It’s those faces!!!”
Mrs. Carey will be subbing in our classrooms, when needed. We just can’t allow her to retire gracefully!!
Mrs. Carey joined the World Academy community in 1997.
