Barbara Carey has been a paraprofessional at World Academy for 21 years. She has assisted in a number of different grades and classrooms throughout this time. Prior to joining World Academy, she worked for ten years in the Nashua Public School System at Ledge Street School. While working there she obtained her New Hampshire State Paraprofessional Certification.
Mrs. Carey lives in Nashua with her husband of 42 years, Larry. Together they have two grown, married children and three wonderful, fun filled grandchildren, her pride and joy. She loves to shop, eat out and go to the movies. Her kitchen would get a lot more action if it were a closet!
Mrs. Carey loves working in the classroom assisting the teachers and the children with various lesson plans. Her favorite part of her job is helping students reach their goals. She loves seeing their eyes and faces light up with such pride. She has been known to shed ‘joyful tears’ to celebrate. She says, "That’s what it’s all about!! It’s those faces!!!"
Mrs. Carey joined the World Academy community in 1997.
