Kendall Liggett has been working at World Academy since 2017 starting as a summer substitute, although she has been here for much longer. Kendall attended World Academy (formerly Small World) Summer Camp from the time she was 6 until she was 14. The last three years she took part in the CIT (Counselor in Training) Program where she was introduced to working in childcare. She graduated from Rivier University in May of 2020 with a major in Early Childhood Education and minor in Natural Sciences.
Originally from Litchfield, NH, Kendall now lives in Manchester, NH with her boyfriend, Jay. Besides teaching, Kendall holds a strong passion for playing softball and going to the beach, hiking and spending time outside.
Kendall’s philosophy of education is that not only do students learn from teachers, but teachers learn from students. Having an environment that is welcoming and safe for students to be able to take risks allows for growth, and allows students to build their self-esteem. Each student grows at their own pace and it is the role of the teacher to provide resources to help their students grow. Kendall believes the most important part of a teacher-student relationship is trust and respect, and she feels as though she implements that on day one.
