Kendall has been working at World Academy since 2017 starting as a summer substitute, although she has been here for much longer. Kendall attended World Academy (formerly Small World) Summer Camp from the time she was 6 until she was 14. The last three years of that she took part in the CIT (Counselor in Training) Program where she was introduced to working in childcare. She graduated from Rivier University in May of 2020 with a major in Early Childhood Education and minor in Natural Sciences, and holds a New Hampshire Beginning Educator License. Kendall will be looking to further her professional development as she is starting her journey of receiving her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Educational Leadership. She is also working towards her CDA, Child Development Associate credential, and her NH Early Childhood Teacher credential.
Originally from Litchfield, NH, Kendall now lives in Manchester, NH with her boyfriend, Jay. Besides teaching, she has a strong passion for playing softball, going to the beach, and spending time outside.
Kendall’s philosophy of education is that not only do students learn from teachers, but teachers learn from students. Having an environment that is welcoming and safe for students to be able to take risks allows for growth, and allows students to build their self-esteem. All students grow at their own pace and it is the role of the teacher to provide resources to help this process. Kendall believes the most important part of a teacher-student relationship is trust and respect, and she strives to implement that from day one.
