Kendall Liggett has been working at World Academy since 2017 as a full-time summer substitute. (Fun Fact:. Kendall attended World Academy (formerly Small World) Summer Camp from the time she was 6 until she worked as a CIT at 14.) She recently graduated from Rivier University with a major in Early Childhood Education and minor in Natural Sciences. We are so glad she has come back home to share her many talents with us!
Kendall was born in Jacksonville, FL, but moved to Litchfield, NH when she was one and a half years old, and has lived there ever since. Besides teaching, Kendall has a strong passion for playing softball and going to the beach, hiking and spending time outside.
Kendall’s wonderful philosophy of education is “that not only do students learn from teachers, but teachers learn from students. Having an environment that is welcoming and safe for students to be able to take risks allows for growth, and allows students to build their self-esteem. Each student grows at his/her own pace and it is the role of the teacher to provide resources to help the students grow. I believe the most important part of a teacher-student relationship is trust and respect, and I try to work on developing that from day one.”
