Guidance Counselor and K-3 Spanish Teacher
Mary Hulfachor has been teaching Elementary Spanish at World Academy for four years, and she has newly expanded her educational platform to include Guidance. She recently obtained a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Rivier University and successfully completed her practicum at World Academy this past year. Mrs. Hulfachor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Maine.
Mrs. Hulfachor was born in Venezuela, South America where she lived for eighteen years. She currently lives in Nashua with her husband, two sons and her dog, Goldie. Mrs. Hulfachor enjoys the outdoor, traveling and watching her sons play sports.
Mrs. Hulfachor believes that learning occurs when students develop their skills and talents through effort and persistence in a positive and encouraging environment. She uses multiple intelligence teaching methods to tap on the different strengths of each child while encouraging growth in developing areas. In my Spanish classes, we use all our senses to learn, we sing, dance, and play games to reinforce repetition and retention of concepts. Learning can be so much fun! During guidance opportunities, Mrs. Hulfachor, utilizes positive communication and engagement and promotes emotional intelligence. Her favorite educational quote is, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” by Benjamin Franklin.
Mrs. Hulfachor joined the World Academy community in 2014.
