Matt Pelletier is excited to be joining the World Academy as a Full Time Substitute Teacher! Matt has known he wanted to be a teacher since he was a kid and was fortunate to start his career at a childcare facility in Hudson when he was 14 years old. From there he has spent his entire life working in childcare and education. He has had several positions from Assistant Teacher, After School Program Coordinator, Paraeducator, ABA Therapist, and Substitute Teacher. While he has collected several certifications along the way, Matt is currently pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Education K-8 with a minor in English.
Matt was born and raised in Hudson, NH where he continues to reside with his son Rowan- a student here at World Academy! In his free time he enjoys spending time outside by the pool, hiking, antiquing or working on his photography with his son.
Matt believes that a school should be a safe, caring community where children are free to speak freely, blossom, and grow- mentally, physically, and socially. He appreciates the fine words of Albert Einstein stating: “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” These words have motivated Matt to believe that passion and a positive attitude in the classroom- and lessons taught, is the greatest service any educator can provide. As a lifelong educator, he remembers the passion and dedication of the teachers around him who inspired him to pass on their lessons. He believes that teaching is a process of learning from your students, coworkers, parents, and the community. He believes it is an ever-changing field and a lifelong journey. He loves that World Academy creates an environment for learning, adapting, and exploring new ideas and strategies in order to reach everyone's common goal: The best for our students.
