Elementary Afterschool Coordinator/Theater Arts Teacher
Michael O’Keefe has been teaching at World Academy for five years. He is a graduate of the New Actors Workshop, and is currently working on a degree in Early Childhood Education. He brings all of his knowledge to every grade level within our “World.” Mr. O’Keefe teaches storytelling and literacy for our youngest students, runs lunches in the cafe for the Middle Schoolers, and wraps up his day with the Elementary AfterSchool program. He also designs the drama curriculum for the Elementary Theatre Club.
Ever the Renaissance man, Mr. Michael grew up in Nashua, spending as much time on stage as he could. He spent ten years living in New York City, where he studied and worked as an actor and teaching artist. Since his return to New Hampshire, he has lived in Goffstown with his wife, two amazing children, and his dog. Michael is a marathoner and some day hopes to finish a marathon in every state. (Go, Michael!!)
Mr. O’Keefe believes that anyone can learn, grow, and flourish when given a supportive, kind, and nurturing environment. Our school is more creative and joyful with Michael in our “World!”
Mr. O’Keefe joined the World Academy Community in 2013.
