Patrick Groleau joined World Academy in the 2020-2021 school year as a substitute teacher. He holds a B.S. in Political Communication with a Minor in Writing from Emerson College. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of New Hampshire. Before working in education, he worked in both the nonprofit and legal fields doing digital advertising.
Patrick grew up in the Monadnock Region and lived in Boston for four years, before moving back to New Hampshire in 2019 with his fiancée. He enjoys reading, baking homemade bread, fishing, canoeing, ice skating, and riding his bike down the Nashua River Rail Trail.
Though he is still new to the field, Patrick grew up in a family of educators. His mother, uncle, aunt, and cousin all work as teachers or professors throughout New England. He is currently pursuing an English Language Arts certification for grades 5-12 and believes writing and literature are critical to understanding the perspectives of others and of oneself. In addition, Patrick wants to foster a passion for learning in his students and seeks to tailor his lessons to each individual in his classroom. He is eager to teach but, more importantly, eager to learn from each of the amazing students he is privileged to teach.
