Priyanka has been working at World Academy since 2018. She graduated from Plymouth State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2018 and earned her NH Early Childhood teaching credential that Fall.
Priyanka grew up in the United States but is originally from India. When she was three-years-old, she moved with her parents and older brother to Milford, NH which has been her hometown ever since. Though Priyanka grew up in the USA, her parents have passed down her family’s traditions and values. She can speak Hindi, Punjabi, and English and her favorite pastimes are spending time with her family, watching movies, traveling, and learning about different cultures.
Priyanka believes that “during the beginning years of a child’s life, they are consistently absorbing the environment around them. Children are natural learners and their teachers are just here to help guide them. To help children reach their full potential, parents and teachers need to work as a team. Parents are their child’s first teacher as they know what is best for their child. Therefore, it is important for both parties to communicate and work out a plan that best fits each specific child. I believe that providing children with ample opportunities to explore and discover how things work is beneficial for them. As a teacher, I hope to create an environment where children feel safe to learn, play, and grow as individuals.”
Priyanka joined World Academy community in 2018.
