Priyanka has been working at World Academy since 2018. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Plymouth State University on May 19, 2018. Currently, Priyanka is working on getting credentialed in Infants.
Priyanka grew up in the United States but is originally from India. When she was three-years-old, she moved to the United States with her parents and older brother and Milford, NH has been her hometown ever since. Though Priyanka grew up in the United States, her parents have passed down her family’s traditions and values. Priyanka can speak Hindi, Punjabi, and English. Spending time with her family, watching movies, traveling, and learning about different cultures is her favorite past time.
Priyanka believes that during the beginning years of a child’s life, they are consistently absorbing the environment around them. Children are natural learners; teachers are just here to help guide them. To help children reach their full potential, parents and teachers need to work as a team. Parents are their child’s first teacher, knowing what is best for their child. Therefore, it is important for both parties to communicate and work out a plan that best fits that specific child. I believe providing children with ample opportunities to explore and discover how things work is beneficial for children. As a teacher, Priyanka hopes to create an environment where children feel safe to learn, play, and grow as individuals.
