Miguel Parraga

Elementary and Middle School Teacher

Miguel Parraga is excited for his third year at World Academy this year! He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Sport and Fitness Studies from Florida International University and is also certified in Personal Training. His Spanish teaching background, coaching, and leadership experience has equipped him with the skills to foster a rich learning environment for the students he works with.  

Miguel is from Lima, Peru and moved to the United States when he was 17 years old. He is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. Outside of the classroom, Miguel’s greatest joy is spending time with his 16-month-old daughter, Elsie. From the moment he learned he was going to be a father, she became his entire world. He speaks Spanish with Elsie while her mother speaks English, with the goal of raising her bilingual and encouraging her to learn even more languages as she grows. 

As an educator, he is passionate about promoting inclusivity and fostering critical thinking. His goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn. He aims to customize his approach to meet the diverse needs of the students, encouraging them to explore their interests and develop their unique talents.
