Shanthi Nair

Middle School Teacher, IT Support Manager

Shanthi joined World Academy in the 2024–2025 school year as a Support Teacher and part of the IT Department, bringing a rich background that blends education and technology. In addition to supporting the school’s technology and program needs, Shanthi teaches Environmental Science and Sustainability through the “Grow Nashua” program, where she works with 4th- and 5th-grade students on gardening and healthy food practices. She also has classroom experience as a substitute teacher in the Hollis and Nashua School Districts, and previously volunteered for 13 years teaching K–12 students through Chinmaya Mission Boston.

Shanthi holds Master’s degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science, and began her career as a Scientist Trainee at a premier mathematics institute in India. She spent 15 years in Software Development and 30 years in Information Technology, including serving as IT Director at the Asia School of Business in Malaysia, a program launched in collaboration with MIT.

Shanthi lives in Nashua, NH, with her husband, and enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, music, the outdoors, and visiting her adult daughters in NYC. She is passionate about working with children, fostering curiosity, and guiding the responsible use of technology in education.
