Elaine Reinitzer

Engineering & Technology Mentor and Substitute Teacher

Mrs. Reinitzer has joined our World Academy community this school year after retiring from the Hudson, NH school district as a 20 year computer science teacher. She will be serving as an Engineering and Technology Program Mentor as well as a Substitute Teacher on campus. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Comprehensive Business Education, Elaine is also certified to teach two Project Lead The Way (PLTW) courses, including “Innovators and Makers” and “App Inventor.” Additionally, she is certified to teach Computer Science Discoveries, a unique course offered through Code.org.

Outside of school, Elaine enjoys ballroom dancing. Traveling is another one of Elaine’s favorite activities. She spent 13 years living in Germany during her youth and speaks fluent German.

As an educator, Elaine enjoys challenging students through engaging, hands-on activities and projects. She encourages creativity and provides opportunities for students to think outside the box when solving problems. Her classroom allows students to explore tasks based on their individual skill levels, ensuring that all students can participate, grow, and feel successful in a positive learning environment. Elaine also values communication with students’ families, as it provides valuable insight into each student and allows her to tailor instruction to meet their individual learning needs.
