Celebrating 35 Years at World Academy

With the start of a new year brings many new beginnings. Everything is reevaluated and we make resolutions in hopes to better ourselves, our community and our workplace. We also take this time to examine our past. At World Academy, we will be celebrating our past during our 35th anniversary in 2015.

At World Academy, we believe the future is now. The 21st century is well underway and we are proud we are ahead of the game in terms of course offerings, progressive technology and teaching through experiences. Our World teachers nurture our students by believing in them and encouraging them to believe in themselves.

Our sports teams, karate and dance classes, Engineering Design Challenge, Visual Arts Printmaking, Lego League, among other options, are all born of current research into brain studies and desired competencies. Opportunities to engage in personal, yet collaborative, learning and broaden horizons exist here both in and outside of the classroom. We don’t just talk about being a 21st century education; we are the 21st century education.

With ever-growing technology, teaching is no longer confined to the classroom. Teachers are going about things in new ways and students are taking more control over their learning as it becomes a mix of online and in-person instruction. Yet, high-quality teachers remain the key to any and all innovation.

World Academy is excited for 2015 and what the New Year can offer. We will remain progressive and continue to stay abreast of the latest offerings and technology we can use within the classroom. We encourage students, parents and our community to embrace our mission statement: to nurture and enhance the development of the whole child from birth through grade 8 using effective, high quality, comprehensive, seamless and respectful 21st century experiences, while supporting and enriching the whole family. We are building people for our global future.
