WORLD ACADEMY NorthStars at the National Invention Convention

This past month, four students from World Academy represented our school and Northern New England at the RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals held at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI.

Sixth-graders Evangeline C., Masha S., Adalia K., and fourth-grader Charlotte C. were among the 490 finalists competing at U.S. Nationals. They were chosen from 202,000 students who entered this year, putting them among the top 0.24% of K-12 inventors in the U.S.

They displayed their inventions in the museum alongside many of the greatest inventions of the last two centuries. On Thursday morning, all four students attended a casting call for the television show “Shark Tank,” where they met with the show’s producers and presented their ideas.

Thursday afternoon, they all presented their inventions to a panel of judges and other inventors. Evangeline and Adalia were selected as finalists for the Inventor’s Logbook Award. We are so proud of the hard work these students put into innovating and bringing their ideas to life, and know they represented World Academy and Northern New England well!
