Support 50Legs During This Year’s Boston Marathon!

Please consider the following letter from current parent, Elizabeth Rioux, who will be running the Boston Marathon on behalf of 50Legs. Good luck, 50Legs Team!

My name is Elizabeth Rioux and my son is a 6th grader at World Academy. This year I am honored to be joining the 126th running of the Boston Marathon on April 18, as a member of the 50Legs Team. 50Legs is a 501(c)(3) charity that provides amputees with the necessary care and prosthetics that they could not otherwise afford. 50Legs has helped hundreds of amputee children, adults, and service members live a life without limits! Celeste who is pictured above is a Boston Marathon bombing survivor double amputee. 50Legs has helped her get the prosthetics she needed to continue living an active healthy life and I am proud to see her in the gym each week!

This will be my first time running for the 50Legs Boston Marathon Charity Team and will be fundraising to help reach my $8,000 goal. I have a donation page set up for anyone who would like to help reach that goal. We will also be hosting The Big Event Gala on April 9, at the UTEC in Lowell, MA, with sponsorship packages for local businesses. The event will be hosted on behalf of the 50Legs Boston Marathon Team and all proceeds go directly to 50Legs.

You can find more information about 50Legs at 50legs.org, let’s get our kids involved and show them the amazing work that 50Legs provides! I cannot thank you enough for your support. My contact info is included below for any questions or interest in the Big Event Gala

Kindly,
