Weekly Update From World Academy – March 19, 2021

Dear Families,

Here is an update that makes us very happy. We seem to have very normal developmental issues going on in our Middle and Elementary schools…and it is so refreshing!! We are able to help students work through conflicts and issues, independently, in order to support their skill attention of conflict resolution, respect, compassion and personal empowerment. We are just so glad to report that we see typical pre-teen behavior in spite of this pandemic. I want to thank our staff and families for providing consistency and quality for our students to give them a positive arc of typical development.

We are, however, seeing a few issues in our Early Childhood programs, particularly from children who have been out of school for quite a while. We are focusing on these issues and hope to be able to find ways to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on those age groups. It is identified nationwide as a prevailing issue. We just want you to know that we are on this and will be bringing special support to the program to address these needs. Thank you for all of your support in getting your children back to school as early as possible and letting us reap the benefits!
