Amanda Silva

Student Development Coordinator

Amanda is thrilled to join the World Academy community as the Student Development Coordinator.  She is a graduate of Rivier University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and General Special Education.  Amanda has a New Hampshire Special Education Teacher certification (K-12).  She has spent the last two years as a Special Education teacher providing students with direct instruction in Reading, Writing, and Executive Functioning skills.

Amanda is a Nashua native and lives in the area with her husband, 2 children, and dog, Manny.  As a lifelong New Hampshire resident, she finds joy in all of the NH seasons, but especially loves skiing with her family and friends.  In her free time she enjoys reading, playing cribbage, wakesurfing, traveling and spending time outdoors.

Amanda’s background in Special Education has given her a strong understanding that all students are on a unique learning and growth journey.  Amanda strives to maintain positive and trusting relationships with students and connecting with each one is a priority.  She believes that all students are capable of greatness with each taking a different pathway.  Amanda feels that open communication with students, parents, teachers and administrators is a key aspect of student success.  She is excited to support and collaborate with the students and staff at World Academy!
