Christina Martin

Middle School Teacher, Coach

Christina Martin has been part of World Academy since 2022. This academic year, she will be teaching K-2 Physical Education and Middle School Math. She has previously taught Math, Health and Wellness, and Physical Education. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, she will be coaching cross country, basketball, volleyball, and track teams, once again. She is thrilled to bring her energy and passion to the classroom and athletics programs!  Ms. Martin is a graduate of Keene State College, holding a Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Engineering, Math and Technology) Education.

Christina grew up in Avon, Connecticut with her twin sisters, mother, and father. She developed a passion for running in high school, where she participated in cross country, indoor, and outdoor track events. This love for running continued through college and beyond, as she now trains for and competes in half marathons, full marathons, ultras and Ironman races when not in the classroom.

Ms. Martin is dedicated to developing her students’ understanding and love of learning in STEM fields.  She believes that “STEM education is critical to the future of our world. It encourages curiosity and innovation, and it helps young children develop problem-solving skills. By learning about science, technology, engineering and math students can explore innovative ideas and create new things.”

We are excited to watch her nurture our students!!!
