Heidi Connell
Toddler Support Teacher
Heidi joined World Academy in 2025, bringing with her over 32 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, earned through a combination of coursework at Ricks College, Brigham Young University, and the Community College of Vermont. She also holds a Certificate of Child Care, reflecting her long-standing dedication to the development and education of young children.
Originally born in Torrington, CT, Heidi was raised in Vermont, where she later married and raised her five children. For more than three decades, she ran a successful Preschool and Early Childcare Center from her home, combining her academic knowledge with hands-on parenting and teaching. This unique experience allowed her to fully integrate her passion for education with the day-to-day joys and challenges of raising a family.
Now residing in Nashua, NH, with her husband, Heidi enjoys an active lifestyle that includes figure skating, fitness, outdoor adventures, reading, puzzles, coloring, and taking fun trips with her husband. Though her grown children are now spread across New England, she cherishes every opportunity to spend time with them.
Heidi is deeply passionate about Early Childhood Education and believes it to be one of the most rewarding and impactful professions. Her educational philosophy emphasizes nurturing, encouraging, and inspiring each child and their family. She embraces a whole-child approach—integrating physical, academic, and social-emotional development—and values the importance of diversity, collaboration, and strong family-teacher partnerships in supporting children’s success.
She thrives in environments rich with teachable moments, where growth and discovery happen naturally through meaningful engagement. Heidi is committed to excellence, accountability, and creating a fun, encouraging space where both students and staff can thrive. She is eager to contribute to the World Academy community and looks forward to learning and growing alongside her colleagues.
