Kate Blascio

Middle School Teacher

Kate Blascio is excited to join the World Academy teaching staff this school year! She graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Mathematics. Kate holds New Hampshire teaching certification in Mathematics (Pre-Algebra through AP Math) and comes with over 19 years of teaching experience.
Ms. Blascio grew up in Russia and moved to the United States at the age of 19. She lived and worked in Cape Cod, Massachusetts until the recent move to New Hampshire. Kate enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities, but loves going to the beach the most. She enjoys spending time with her son going biking and swimming.
Kate believes that students learn best when they construct their own knowledge. From her teaching experience, she observed that if a student is presented with a new concept and some important prior knowledge, they can be involved in the discovery process in making new mathematical connections. Kate is very passionate about the subject and is eager to share that love for Mathematics with her students. She believes that if the students are interested in the subject, they will be engaged and will meet any challenges with perseverance and a “ready to go” attitude.
