Katie Belletete
Older Infant Teacher
Katie Belletete is new to World Academy and is very eager to join our World Community! She is a graduate of Keene State College with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Business Management. She also holds two years of elementary education credits and has about 6 years of experience in the education field.
Katie grew up in Jaffrey, NH, and currently lives in the small neighboring town of Peterborough, NH. She enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, loves to enjoy a good cup of coffee, and is really looking forward to getting married in October!
Ms. Katie believes a classroom should be a happy, nurturing place where children feel safe, loved, and excited to explore. She takes a whole-child approach, recognizing that children are constantly learning and growing through their relationships and everyday experiences. Art and creativity are especially important to Katie, and she loves giving children opportunities to explore different materials, textures, colors, and forms of self-expression. Inspired by Henri Matisse’s quote, “Creativity takes courage,” she believes even young children should have the freedom to experiment, make choices, and express themselves in their own unique ways. Katie enjoys watching children’s personalities and interests shine through their art and play while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development along the way.
