Katie Russell

Director of Development, Communication, and Community Engagement

Katie joined World Academy in July 2025 and holds a BA in Political Science with a focus on International Relations and an MBA in Global Management. Katie brings extensive experience in business development, training, operations, communications, events, new concepts, innovation, people development, and engagement with global/national brands, including Starbucks, T-Mobile USA, Bath & Body Works, CAVA, and American Eagle Outfitters. 

Originally from Seattle, WA, Katie lives in Hudson, NH with husband Sonny, and daughters Margaux (Current ‘Northstar’) and Khione (World Academy Alumnus), and two ‘wild’ Yorkies Gracie and Murphy. 

Katie is an avid and lifelong soccer player, coach, fan, and supporter; holds a National D Coaching license through US Soccer, coaches girls U11 and U15 travel teams, serves on the board of directors for Hudson United Soccer Club, and will join the coaching staff for the middle school girls here at World Academy in the fall. When the Russells aren’t on a soccer field, they love to travel and explore other cultures, languages, and countries.
