We are very excited to welcome Michelle Grasso to the World Academy community! She brings with her a strong background in mathematics education. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pure Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education. She has completed additional coursework in teaching and learning in both Chicago and Wisconsin. She is MTEL certified and continually seeks professional growth, especially in areas such as math intervention and differentiated instruction.
Outside of the classroom, Michelle is a dedicated wife and mom to four lively and wonderful children. Family plays a central role in her life. She and her family enjoy spending time at home, attending church, and sharing meals together. Weekends are often filled with cleaning, laughter, and cozy movie nights. Michelle also loves reading, learning, and building routines that help her children grow.
In her teaching, Michelle is passionate about helping students gain both confidence and a deep understanding of Math. She believes that every student can succeed when given the right support, tools, and structure. Her classroom is a space where students are encouraged to think deeply, engage actively, and take ownership of their learning and growth.
