Miguel Parraga

Elementary and Middle School Support, AfterSchool and Vacation Program Teacher

Miguel Parraga is excited to join the World Academy team this year! He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Florida International University and is also certified in Personal Training. His educational background, coaching, and leadership experience has equipped him with the skills to foster a rich learning environment for the students he works with.  

Miguel is from Lima, Peru and moved to the United States when he was 17 years old. He is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. Outside of his work commitments, he enjoys playing soccer, camping, traveling, and spending time with his family. He believes in maintaining a balanced life, so he often spends his weekends exploring new trails, trying new restaurants, and volunteering in the community. These experiences not only enrich his personal life, but also bring fresh perspectives in the classroom. 

As an educator, he is passionate about promoting inclusivity and fostering critical thinking. His goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn. He aims to customize his approach to meet the diverse needs of the students, encouraging them to explore their interests and develop their unique talents.
