The World Academy PTO is dedicated to fostering a sense of community, school support and school pride, in order to nurture a culture of respect, success and quality for W.A. students. We do this through community projects, social events and fun activities that encourage family engagement, create opportunities for us to get to know one another and supports our common goal of giving our students a “World of Opportunity.”
All parents/guardians of children from Infants through Grade 8 are asked to participate, in any way, as a vital member of our school. We know you are busy, but we guarantee your child will get more out of the school experience with you as an active part of it. Join us and you might find a support system, a few casual acquaintances, or lifelong friends; but for sure, you will be strengthening the investment you made in your child’s education. A strong school has a strong PTO community behind it!
The World Academy Parent/Teacher Organization’s (PTO) purpose is to support the education and high quality experiences of the students of World Academy and their families. This is done by fostering relationships throughout the World Academy community which result in a positive, proud and strong school culture, as well as raising the funds needed by the school for enrichment and enhancements.

PTO meetings are a great way to stay updated on school happenings and network with teachers and other parents. The PTO meets monthly at 6:15 p.m. (usually on the first Tuesday) in the Middle School Core. All World Academy parents and teachers are welcome to attend. We would love your input and support.
Can’t make the meetings? Not a problem! We send an email summary covering key points and ways to participate. Just let us know you’d like to get involved.
Throughout the school year, the PTO organizes many events. The events bring our World Academy Families together for social events and special programs.

Bake Sale - (November)
Parents are asked to donate baked goods to sell usually the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This is not your typical school bake sale. Wrap the items as an individual serving or bake a larger treat to bring for the whole family to share. Details will be sent home during early November.
Staff Appreciation Breakfast & Luncheon - (Dec. / April)
To thank our teachers and staff for all their hard work we treat them to a catered lunch and breakfast. This is a wonderful treat for our teachers and staff who enjoy the food that is served.
The World Academy PTO raises funds through the Box Tops for Education program. It’s an easy way for everyone to help support school-wide events!
Each Box Top we receive is worth $.10 for the school and they really add up. On average, we collect about $1,000.00 for World Academy each year and use the funds for “extras” like our amazingly fun evening at Launch in Nashua in 2018!
Here's what to do:
Clip the Tops off participating products. Place the Tops in a clear plastic bag (be sure they are not expired!) and write your child’s name, grade, and teacher’s name on the bag. One submission per family is fine—just include all students’ info.
Bring the Tops into school and drop them in a Box Tops collection box found near the Front Desk, in the Elementary hallway or in the Middle School entry area. You can also collect Tops on a collection sheet like the one here.
We hold three classroom collection competitions each year and the winning classroom wins a prize for the highest percent of participating students . Please start collecting now as our second competition deadline for the year is Friday, February 15!
