Spotlight: Rayaan Hameed
Rayaan Hameed, an alumnus from the graduating class of 2020, continues to make waves as he was recently recognized and celebrated for earning First-Team All-State honors during the 2023 Soccer season. Hameed’s outstanding leadership on the soccer field has etched an enduring legacy within the Bishop Guertin soccer program, solidifying his position at or near the top of various statistical categories, boasting an impressive record of 40 goals and 15 assists. Beyond his athletic achievements, Rayaan has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to academics and revealed his future aspirations, expressing a desire to pursue a degree in economics and or business in college. Having already carved a distinguished path throughout his high school and Middle School years, Rayaan is well-prepared to extend his academic and athletic success at the collegiate level. His dedication and accomplishments stand as a testament to the excellence cultivated at our World Academy, and we eagerly anticipate witnessing his continued triumphs in education and soccer.
SpotLight: Mustafa Eyceoz
Recently returned from San Francisco, where he was a speaker at the Ray Summit. The Ray Summit is an event that brings together software engineers, data scientists, machine learning practitioners, architects, developers, and MLOps professionals, all of whom are interested in exploring and discussing the future of AI. Mustafa is a software engineer at Red Hat as well as a Technical lead with IBM. He is also currently finishing his Master’s degree at Columbia University in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
Spotlight: Caroline Harvey
Caroline Harvey is an Olympian and World Academy alumna. She has traveled the world, competing, even going to Beijing, and winning the silver medal in women’s Ice Hockey! Caroline is truly impressive, currently attending the University of Wisconsin on a full athletic scholarship with a future goal of participating in the Olympics!
